WOLF CREEK SKI AREA hosts a number of “Fun Races” throughout the ski season. These races are free and open to skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities with a dual race format.

These races are for men and women, boys and girls, with 14 different age brackets, (28 total), starting at age 3 and going up to 70 and over. Registration is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Raven’s Grill at the top of the Raven Lift. Each skier is assigned a number, which should be visible when racing on the course. Skiers/Boarders can also sign up on the top of the course after 11:15 a.m.. The course closes around 1:00 p.m. depending on the number of participants. The course is set up in a modified giant slalom with a dual format, one red and one blue course. Racers take one run on each course and use their fastest time to qualify in their age and gender brackets. The fastest times in each age/gender bracket receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Awards are presented at 3:30 p.m. on the Sundeck of the Upper Lodge. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals are presented accordingly. Each skier/boarder, who raced, will have their times recorded to see how he or she has placed in his/her age bracket.
